New Folk Club for Bath!

Postby richard on Fri Mar 14, 2008 8:39 am

I'm excited by the news of a brand new Folk venue in Bath. Not least because it's 5 mins walk from my house so I can have a drink and walk home for a change!

For those who missed the news from Tonys folk diary update I reproduce the news below (thanks to Tony)

COMING SOON:

Bath: The Bath Folk Club, Widcombe Social Club, Widcombe Hill BA2 6AA (Marick Baxter 01225 426102, 07881646633, marick@inu-music.com, www.inu-music.com/id17.html)

Friday 4th April, 8 till late. Music, song, dance. Guests, floor spots. “A friendly clean venue with a really nice sound and cheap beer.”

“Marick and Louise are pleased to announce the Launch of the Bath Folk Club Bringing the Best Accoustic Acts to Bath. Our main aim with the folk club is to raise the profile of the excellent Folk Music Scene here in Bath and to bring outside acts to the city. We will be providing a platform in a great venue for guests to perform and listen to each other and an opportunity to hear bands and artists that often wouldn't be heard here. We aim to bring gigs of the highest quality and greatest fun to you with a chance to be involved as well.”
